SMP Wins 2014 American Package Design Award

Standard Motor Products was the recipient of design honors from the American Package Design Awards for the Standard TPMS Sensor "If it's not a perfect clone" Plush Toy Sheep & Hang Tag Premium. Managed by Graphic Design USA (GDUSA), the American Package Design Awards is the fastest growing national competition.

This annual competition recognizes well-designed graphics but more importantly the power of design to advance the brand promise and to forge an emotional link with the buyer at the moment of truth. Winners are showcased in the printed GDUSA Design Annual, on the Web, on an iPad app and seen by over 100,000 colleagues and clients each year.

"If it's not a perfect clone, it's not quite right" is the theme of a broader national communications campaign, including print and digital advertising, promoting the technological advances of Standard's Clone-able Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors.

SMP is honored to share this success with marketing colleagues, TFI Envision, Inc. and is especially pleased to have received acknowledgment of this work from both inside and outside of the automotive industry.

As a leader in TPMS technology, Standard TPMS sensors are engineered to match the original for fit, form and function, plus they have the technology to be ID cloned to the sensor they replace using a simple TechSmart cloning tool. Standard Clone-able TPMS sensors offer the technician the advantage of bypassing complex factory relearn processes, therefore saving time and money while maintaining OE fit, form and function.
