Daytime Running Light Modules

Daytime Running Light (DRL) Modules modules control the headlights and daytime running lights based on ambient light conditions. In daylight the module turns on the DRL and turns off the headlights. This ensures a longer life for the headlight bulbs. In dark ambient conditions, the module turns off the DRL and turns on the headlights.
DRL modules are located on the vehicle's exterior which exposes them to the elements. DRL modules often fail due to water intrusion and corrosion. Failure can cause the vehicle's lights to remain on or not turn on at all.
